*Rumbling* *Horns* It’s almost as if the ground was shaking. Nope. It was just the train. Or maybe it was my head. I’m not sure. We had traveled for long enough, and all I wanted to do was to lie down. But now was not the time. We had to go check out our new house first.
When we reached, the house was completely unfurnished. Our stuff, however, had already reached, and was to be placed inside as soon as we had given the house a final thorough look. It took us nearly 3 days after that to settle down and get everything in order. We had traveled all the way from Chandigarh, the City Beautiful of India, to Durgapur, a small town – one of the major Steel Cities in India. The transition was beyond words can describe.
Anyway, I had decided to opt for Arts, i.e. all the ‘Social Science’ – related subjects for my remaining years of high school. This was because I wish to pursue law as my college degree, followed by getting into Judiciary or Indian Administrative Services as a profession.
I had a fairly good score in my 10th grade examinations, and I was now all set to finally study the subjects I had longed to study since the past 2 years. They were:
- Political Science
- Physical Education
- Multimedia & Web Technology
I was super excited for my first day at the new school. But you must be wondering by now – what’s so peculiar about choosing Arts subjects? It’s just another stream. Well think again. You’ll soon find out my opinion in the next blog!
